FriendCast User Research, Strategy & Product Vision

FFN's Product and Design teams created a new dating consumer dating native mobile app that would increase customer engagement, reach a younger demographic of users, and open new traffic sources. FriendCast is a social networking and speed dating app that offers new ways to use live video with friends to make people feel safe, keep them engaged, and reward each other to build a positive community.

Define Feature Segment & Prototype - I came up with the idea of "speed dating" and "watch speed dating live" logic and concepts, two critical features for FriendCast. After discussing with the dating product owner, the design team developed the main user flow scenarios added into the focus group study guide. We improved the user experience by synthesizing the focus group feedback into actionable requests that improved the overall UI design flows. Ultimately, improving customer experience and understanding.

User Case Study & Report - We spent 6 weeks conducting participatory focus groups, user interviews, and key features usability testing. We created a web-based prototype to test ideas in-field and improve upon our designs immediately. We were able to understand the user's interests in the features and improve the design. Users are very excited about this new way to meet people face to face with the reliable "gentlemen score." User data showed that implementing this unique and original "gentlemen score" concept would drastically increase user engagement.
